Why Alter EQ?

Greetings! I’m Alexis Felton, and I created Alter EQ Consulting because for most of my life, I’ve been driven by a passion for helping people. This is fitting as my first name literally translates to “helper/defender of the people”. I’ve spent over 20 years navigating the very corporate frustrations I now help to solve – from a lack of transparency to talent being overlooked. This firsthand experience fuels my conviction that a lack of authenticity is the primary barrier to impact.

I have a Master’s degree in Organization Development; the study of human behavior and its impact on organizational performance gave me the academic language and rigor for what I’ve always known: human connection (or lack thereof) is at the center of everything we do, including work. To round out my credentials and refine my type A skillset, I also have the Project Management and Program Management certifications from Project Management Institute®.
